Working with multiple remote storage platforms can be quite a drag, especially when you need to access files quite fast. Thanks to NetDrive, you can now access all your remote files on your PC as if they were on a local drive. Functionality 5/5 NetDrive allows users to connect to various remote storages as though they were local drives on their PCs, and transfer files through the FTP protocol. You can manage your accounts on these various cloud drive types such as OneDrive, Amazon S3, WebDAV, SFTP, Google Drive, Box.com, etc. Once you connected, you can manage these drives remotely, for example, change the password, and even assign a drive letter. NetDrive provides you with a connection option once each of these drives is mounted the first time. You can connect to multiple drives at the same time, and the best part is they all appear as a local drive, for example, as a USB stick emerges on your PC. Accessing your data on these virtual drives is as simple as it is with local storage, and you can transfer any type of file (video, Word, .ppt, etc.) easily through simple drag-and-drop.

Functionality 5/5

NetDrive allows users to connect to various remote storages as though they were local drives on their PCs, and transfer files through the FTP protocol.

Design 5/5

The interface on NetDrive is clean, elegant and uncluttered. The app presents a simple UI where you can access all your functionalities with just a single click. It is possible to check the various drives, add or delete them with just a single click, and connect/disconnect to them when you’re online with a few simple moves. Next, to the connection tabs of these various drives, you can also adjust settings for each of them to your preferences. Once you connect to a drive on the app, it appears on your computer as a local drive would, which is the coolest thing ever.

Usability 5/5

NetDrive has no learning curve at all, even if you just downloaded the application for the first time. You don’t have to waste any time syncing your files, and you can play video files or edit your Word and Excel applications on the remote server seamlessly as if they were on your local drive. If you’re looking for secure file transfer and you are a little weary of your passwords being transmitted over open networks, just simply select the SFTP option on the drive type drop-down.

Cross-platform Use 5/5

NetDrive is supported on macOS (OS X 10.10 upwards) and Windows (Windows 7, 8, 8.1, Vista and 10, including a special MSI client for system administrators running large networks).

In-app Purchases

There are no in-app purchases for NetDrive. You can evaluate a free version (7 day period) and then purchase the yearly subscription for $19.95 with no support, $49.95 one-time payment with 1-year support, or $99.95 one-time payment with lifetime support.

Conclusion

NetDrive offers the best management of virtual drives on the market, with a clean, elegant interface, easy file sharing capabilities and direct media download/upload that doesn’t require time-intensive syncing, even for large files. I feel that NetDrive is an awesome productivity tool, especially for small businesses looking to maximize on low local storage space, or which employ a whole host of virtual applications. The app is reasonably priced, and for a lifetime payment of $40, I definitely think it’s a worthy investment.
